Sometimes you have to be reminded that good things are happening. Espcially when you are feeling kind of crummy and the weather is bitter cold.
First there was this shared on Facebook from Shannon at Still Seeking Martha:
Starbucks is using company profits to support initiatives that legalize gay marriage. That might be a huge problem for you. I understand if it is. I stopped eating at Chick Fil-A because they were using company profits to oppose the same initiatives. So I totally get it.
That’s your right as consumer in a free economy. If you can find a way to live without the Pumpkin Spice latte in the fall, I salute you. Me, I like the lattes; I like the gays; I’m a happy girl. via drink sleep be keri
Then there was this from my friend Mike:
"I have come to the conclusion that our government should not limit the right to marry based on who you love. While churches should never be required to conduct marriages outside of their religious beliefs, neither should the government tell people who they have a right to marry." via Senator Claire McCaskill from Missouri
KEEP THE LIGHTS ON FOR RESCUED GIRLS: When the power goes out in Ruth's House, the girls rescued from sex trafficking are left in the dark with no heat and no way to cook food. A 10,000 watt generator would keep the girls warm, fed, and safe. Can you please help fund a little bit of this too? Even $5 would help. Click here for more information on PureCharity.com
There's so much goodness in the world. Thank you for reminding me Shannon, Mike & Alison. Keep reminding yourself and share with me, too!
