March is all about focusing on my home, which is kind of funny considering I am writing this from the Capital Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am attending two conferences this month, but when I set these intentions I didn't think about practical things like schedules or travel. Plus, even though I am gone I am setting out from my home, so it seems relevant!
- Reclaim the Screened-In Porch: Last year we created this beautiful space and it has become overrun with a lamp, tools, Christmas boxes that were never put away, and other random things that have homes somewhere else. It is time to reclaim the space, especially since it is warming up.
- Purge my Closet and Dresser: There are still clothes, accessories and things that are cluttering my closet that need to go. This is also in alignment with the crazy 7 concept from Jen Hatmaker and the wild group of Christians I am joining as we jump into clothes consumption this month.
- Revamp Our Bedroom: Our bedroom is a pit. It has always been a pit. We could never agree on paint color or a theme and it still has primer on the walls. This month, even though I am not home much, we are going to pull up the carpet, get small rugs, paint, remove the closet doors and replace them with cool curtains, sew new curtains and change lighting. It will, by the end of the month and less then $300 be a beautiful, relaxing retreat - where we set off from!
Our home is humble, but it can be filled with beauty and not cluttered! That might be the simplest thing in the world to do. I am looking forward to the task of focusing on my home, plus, isn't it spring cleaning time? I am right on time, whether I'll be home to enjoy it or not.

Yay for home beautification!!
Also- yay for blog pretty-ness!! (I saw that theme and ALMOST changed my own...)
