My daughter loves Valentine's Day; the sparkle, hearts, and over exaggerated moment to love out loud. I do, too. My father would have a Valentine's Day present, usually a box of chocolates from See's Candy, on my breakfast plate every year. It was simple and yet all those years I knew that he loved me that day and every day.
So, it makes sense that the month (#onelittleword) is dedicated to Heart Focus - love with all my heart. I feel that sometime, because I am so driven professionally and personally that I forget the small gestures. I say I love you, but this month I want to express it in big and small ways.
So, for February, I will focus on:
1. Nurturing my relationships - friends, family and my husband are all important to me and this month, in small ways, I hope to spend some time celebrating them.
2. Loving myself. Eating right, exercising, continuing to pay attention to the cues of my body will be part of this. I also want to set some time to nurture some personal projects - photography and embroidery this month to spend time with me.
3. Living Love. It isn't enough to just "be nice", I want to love - even those that I don't understand or are perplexing to me. I'll be doing some metta practice to try to incorporate the feeling of love to those I know and those I don't.
Those are my goals. What are yours?

I have loved getting to know you just a bit through your writing.

These are such lovely intentions to have! If we could master those, we would have such happy lives! I love that you are doing it with your daughter too.
